Behr was pulling back to the car for the first 2 miles.. after he went poop of course ;) Then trotted at my side for about 4.. then kept his line tight for 2 then pulled like crazy that last mile back to the car.... He may be getting "older" but he can still do it when he wants to!

We got a couple inches of fresh snow today! Once Mike got home I took Behr and we headed over to Green Valley FP to get a quick ski in. Behr kept his line tight, well when he wasn't stopping to sniff, pee or poo ;) the whole time. He was whining on the way home, I think he wanted to go further... but sometimes you gotta leave um wanting more right???

Behr and I found a new trail today, leads down along the power lines, then wraps around the woods past the directors house through the oak savanah restoration area and then back through the woods and the high rise. Silly Mutt ran right past a field mouse sitting in the middle of the trail, I had to step off the trail to keep from running it over.

Today I did an easy skijor with Behr on site at lunch. The trail in the woods is pretty chewed up but on the prairie it was open, and drifted in. Behr the silly mutt decided that he didn't need to stay on the trail a couple places in the woods.. which is weird, he NEVER goes off trail.. I think he just wanted to see what I would do.

Salsa Planted!

So I finally got around to putting my little seedlings in the ground yesterday! The spinach, greens and peas came up about a week ago... yes I'm drooling on them.

Onion sets went in last Sunday, and the Tomato and Pepper seedlings went in yesterday. I had 100% germination on my tomatoes! If they all survive transplant I have NO idea what I'm going to do with that many tomatoes next fall! the peppers also had almost 100% germination! YIKES!

The thistle is back with a vengance! I had K out spraying it with vinegar and am pulling it.. the creeping charlie is also back.. but so far that' is the worst of the weeds.. hope to get the rest weeded and planted soon!

Garden Update

My smart little seeds out in the garden are still hiding. no sign of them emerging yet, probably a good thing as we had 3 inches of snow covering the garden yesterday. Turns out the little "green house tents" I had covering things were no match for 40mph wind gusts ;) Lucky for me, the fence was up and they ran no further than the raspberry bushes. I did get the beds covered before the snow fell.

Indoors I have Cilantro, and peppers up! little tiny seedlings out checking out the world. Kelly was SOOO excited when she saw them she wanted to plant them in the garden NOW.. I had to explain that they were too little.. and there was too much snow on the ground LOL!

Add Peas Planted yesterday!

When Ms Kelly woke up from her nap, and found out mommy was "playing in the dirt" without her she grabbed a shovel and marched into the garden and started digging.   (after I repeatedly told her not to dig up mommy's freshly planted rose bushes)  I had found a packet of peas with "packed for 2005" printed on it in the back room when I was digging out my potting stuff... so I figured what the heck.. I know it's March Probably WAY to early to plant but my germination rates on seeds this old will probably be poor anyway, might as well let the 2.5 yr old have some fun.  So I let her plant a row of peas... If they come up they'll probably be clumped together WAY too much but they will be tended with love!
